| 1 box | [3 oz.] sugar-free jello |
| [can | Use regular jello] |
| 2/3 c. | Boiling water |
| 1/2 c. | Cold water |
| | Ice cubes |
| 1 oz. | Carton Cool Whip--or any store brand fat-free non-dairy topping |
| 1 | Ready-made pie curst--Oreo coookie, Nilla wafer, or graham cracker crust |
1. Bring the whipped topping to room temp
2. Whisk in the boiling water--until jello is dissolved.
3. Whisk in the cold water.
4. Whisk in the 7-8 ice cubes--until mixture starts to gel.
5. Remove each ice cube--try to get the jello off each cube.
6. Whisk in the topping, one spoonful at a time, until thoroughly mixed. Texture will resemble a mousse.
7. Pour into the prepared crust--try to mound it so it is taller at the center of the pie.
8. Cover with the plastic dome that comes w/ the pie. Refrigerate for at least 3 hrs.
9. Decorate with spray can whipped cream or fresh fruit or both!
The cranberry jello is esp. delicious.
This pie is very pretty and is exceedingly speedy to make.
