yummy sauce for chicken or crab rangoons

Ingredients
1/2 cup White sugar, or to taste
1/2 cup White vinegar, or more to taste
1/3 cup Maraschino cherry juice
2 tablespoons Ketchup
1/2 cup Pineapple juice
1 1/2 tablespoons Cornstarch
1/4 cup Cold water
Preparation
Mix the sugar, vinegar, maraschino cherry juice, ketchup and pineapple juice in a saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
Place the cornstarch in a small bowl, and stir the water into it to make a smooth paste. Stir the cornstarch paste into the juice mixture, and bring to a simmer. Stir constantly until the mixture thickens, about 1 minute.
