Creamy Rice Pilaf

Ingredients

1 1/3 cups Water

1/2 cup Uncooked instant brown rice

3/4 cup Frozen chopped onion, celery, bell pepper, and parsley blend (such as McKenzie's Seasoning Blend)

1/4 teaspoon Dried thyme

1/4 teaspoon Pepper

1/8 teaspoon Salt

1/8 teaspoon Garlic powder

1/2 Uncooked quick-cooking wild rice

1 cup Frozen green peas, thawed

1 (10 3/4 ounce) can ( reduced-fat) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted

Preparation

Bring 1 1/3 cups water to a boil in a medium saucepan; stir in brown rice, seasoning blend, and next 4 ingredients. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in wild rice; cover and simmer 7 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Reduce head to low; stir in peas and soup, and cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. (serving size 1/2 cup).
