| 3 cups | Fat-free milk |
| 2 | Tblsps. firmly packed brown sugar |
| 1/4 tsp. | Ground cinnamon |
| 1/4 tsp. | Salt (optional) |
| 1/8 tsp. | Ground nutmeg |
| 2 cups | Oats (quick or old-fashioned, uncoo; ked) |
| 2 | Medium-size ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup) |
| 2 - 3 | Tblsps. coursely chopped toasted; pecans |
| | Banana slices (optional) |
In a medium saucepan bring milk, brown sugar, spices and salt to a gentle
boil (watch carefully!)
Stir in oats, return to boil, reduce heat
Cook 1 minute for quick oats, 5 minutes for old-fashioned, or until most of
the liquid is absorbed. Stir occasionally.
Remove oatmeal from heat
Stir in mashed bananas and pecans
Spoon mixture into 4 cereal bowls
Top with sliced bananas
