| 6 | Carrots, cut up |
| 8 | Celery stalks, cut up |
| 2 | Onions, chopped |
| 2 | Medium potatoes , chopped |
| 1/2 cup | Red wine |
| 1 tablespoon | Salt |
| 3 tablespoons | Minute tapioca |
| 1 can | Cut up tomatoes |
| 1 | Slice of bread |
Put all ingredients in a slow cooker or a round roasting pan. Cover and cook 5 hours at 275 degrees. Can be topped with Bisquick dumplings
