Ingredients

24 Spears of asparagus
8 oz. Package cream cheese
1 box Frozen puff pastry dough
1 Egg

Preparation

steam asparagus for about 3 min then place in ice water to stop the cooking and maintain the bright green color. drain and pat dry

Beat cream cheese until smooth

Thaw pastry puff over night, Unfold puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet in half from side to side .

Spread cream cheese on half of each rectangle to within 1/2 inch of the edge.

attage 3 asparagus spears in a single layer over the cream cheese, brush the edges with beaten egg ( beat egg with a little water.) fold dough over asparagus and press edges together.

Cover and chill an hour.

Cut crossways into 1-1/4 in pieces and place on a baking sheet lined wth parchment paper. Brush with remaining egg. Bake 425 for 8-12 min or until golden brown
