2 tbsp. Butter
2 tbsp. Flour
1 c. Heavy cream
1/2 c. Grated parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Pepper
Preparation
In saucepan melt butter and stir in flour; cook until bubbling. Add heavy cream, grated parmesan, salt and pepper. Boil 5 minutes, stirring until thickened.
Make it lean: Use skim milk instead of heavy cream and reduce cheese to 2 Tbsp.
