Low-Fat Brownies

Ingredients

1/2 cup Egg substitute

1 can (14 oz) fat-free sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

1 1/3 cups All-purpose flour

1 1/4 cups Sugar

3/4 cup Baking cocoa

1 teaspoon Baking powder

1/2 teaspoon Salt

Preparation

In a mixing bowl, beat egg substitute for 1 minute or until frothy and slightly thickened. Stir in milk and vanilla. Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt; add to the egg mixture and mix well.


Pour into a 13-in x 9-in x 2-in baking pan coated with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 350 for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.


Yield: 2 dozen

These brownies are probably best for those who really do not mind nonfat desserts. I found them a little sticky and lacking that great fall-apart-in-your-mouth texture.
