Loaded with phytochemicals, this dish tastes wonderful hot or cold.

Ingredients

3/4 lb Kale, rinsed and coarsely chopped

3/4 lb Swiss chard, rinsed and coarsely chopped

1 teaspoon Olive oil

1/3 cup Golden raisins

1/4 cup Pitted black olives (about 9) slivered

4 cloves Garlic minced

1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes

Dash salt

Preparation

Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a large, wide saucepan. Add kale, cover pan and cook for 4 minutes. Stir in chard and cook for 3 minutes; water should be almost gone. Transfer vegetables to a bowl.

Heat oil in same saucepan used to cook greens over medium heat. Add greens, raisins, olives, garlic and red pepper flakes and saute for 2 minutes or until greens are tender. Season with salt to taste.

I loved the combination of sweet and spicy. I made it with all chard as that is what I have in the garden. A Keeper!
