Chinese Cabbage Salad

Contributed By: dmoore
Adapted from my mother in law's recipe

An easy, Thanksgiving favorite at our house.

Ingredients

1 Cabbage

1/2 bottle Soy Vay! brand Chinese Chicken Salad Dressing

2 Carrots

3 Green onions

1 can Water chestnuts

1 cup Slivered almonds

1 tbsp Rice vinegar

Preparation

Shread the cabbage in by hand or in a food processor and put in a big bowl.

Grate carrots, add to bowl.

Finely chop green onions, add to bowl.

Add rest of ingredients to the bowl and mix well.

Good now, great if allowed to sit overnight.

Cook's Notes

Distinctive asian vegetables are a nice addition - lotus root, for example.
