Actual Cooking Time: 15 to 30 minutes
Number of Servings: 4
Origin: Asian
Special Features: Quick to Prepare (under 30 minutes)
Meal Type: Entree
Ingredients
1/2 cup A.1 steak sauce
1/4 cup Soy sauce
2 cloves Garlic
1 pound Top round steak - thinly sliced
16 ounce (1 bag) frozen mixed vegetables
Hot cooked rice
Preparation
In a bowl i mix the A.1 sauce an reduce the amount of soy to 1/8 cup as well as garlic. set aside.
I use the wok so season the wok with garlic oil, dash of sesame seed oil, let sit while I cut the meat into bite size pieces. Once meat is cut up fire up the wok.
Once wok begins to smoke add the meat an stir until it's done. once meat is thoroughly cooked add the sauce an stir, then add veggies. Once the veggies are tender I turn down the wok to warm setting and wait for brown rice to finish cooking. Once rice is done add to the wok, mix well and serve while hot.
Cook's Notes
the soy contains huge amounts of salt to reduce some I use 1/8 cup. Also replace white rice with brown rice. After adding the soy sauce in place of garlic I use 2 pieces of cloves an crush very fine, and add 1/4 cup red wine to the sauce.
since i made a ton of adjustments to the recipe will post what the book says about the nutrition part.
