I made it up when I was a kid.

When I was a teenager my dad would wake me up early on Saturday mornings to make this, his favorite french toast.

Ingredients

4 Large eggs

1 tsp Cinnamon

1 tbs Granulated sugar

1/4 cup Low fat milk

8 slices Whole wheat bread or french bread

Cooking spray or butter

Maple syrup

Preparation

Beat together the eggs, cinnamon, sugar, and milk. One slice at a time, dip bread into egg mixture until soaked all the way through.

Preheat skillet and spray with cooking spray or melt butter in the pan.

Place slices of soaked bread in preheated pan and cook over medium heat until centers are firm and no egg is visibly uncooked.

Serve quickly with warm maple syrup. Enjoy!

I love this recipe! I added 1 tsp of vanilla for more aromatic flavor.
