Cheese Omelet

Contributed By: DCC

Wake up to a quick omelet that is easy to make.

Ingredients

2 tbsp Light butter

2 Eggs

1 cup Egg beaters

6 tbsp Non fat milk

Salt

Pepper

1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, grated

Preparation

Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Lightly beat eggs, milk, salt and pepper and add egg beaters. Pour egg mixture in pan. As eggs cook, lift edges of omelet and let uncooked egg run underneath to cook. When just about set, sprinkle cheese on half of omelet, fold other half over and serve.

Cook's Notes

Breakfast for dinner is a hurried cook's best friend. Add bits of ham, cooked bacon or green onions to the cheese for variety.

Hashbrowns or toast with butter and jam are classic accompaniments. To round out a dinner menu, add quartered oranges or other fruit.
