Chunky Pasta Sauce with Meat

This chunky pasta sauce has two kinds of meat to add flavor and texture to your pasta.

Ingredients

6 ounces Ground beef

6 ounces Mild or hot Italian sausage, sliced

1/2 Medium onion, coarsely chopped

1 clove Garlic, minced

2 cans (14 1/2 ounces each) chunky tomatoes, undrained

1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce

1/4 cup Red wine, optional

Hot cooked pasta

Grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

In large saucepan, brown beef and sausage; drain all but 1 tablespoon drippings. Add onion and garlic; cook until tender. Add tomatoes with juice, tomato sauce and wine. Boil, uncovered, 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Serve over pasta; top with Parmesan cheese.
