Ingredients
2.5 tbsp Shoyu
1/2 Block tofu
1 tblsp Sesame oil
1.5 tblsp Unbleached white flour
1 clove Garlic
2 Scallions
2 tbsp Sake
1 tsp Ginger
1 tsp Sesame seeds
Preparation
Place garlic, scallions, sake, 2 tbsp shoyu and sesame seeds in a shallow dish, mixed well. Place thinkly sliced tofu into dish for 30 minutes, flip and marinade for 30 minutes on the other side. Mix all remaining ingredients except flour in a seperate dish, cover and set aside. Coat bottom of small frying pan with oil and heat. Dip tofu steaks in flour. Fry for 3 minutes each side and then let drain. Serve with dipping sauce and any remaining marinade.
