Ingredients

1 cup Milk
1 Egg
2 tbsp Sugar
1/8 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Vanilla

Preparation

Beat eggs slightly. Add sugar and salt. Pour milk over egg mixture and stir. Add vanilla and pour into custard cups. Place cups in pan of hot water and bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes until firm and jelly-like. Remove and serve warm or chill - your preference.

I had to bake this longer than the recipe stated. It wasn't the creme brulee I thought it would be. I actually like the recipe from the Better Homes & Gardens (red & white) cook book way better.

I had to bake this for an hour. I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but it was still complete liquid after 30 minutes.
