Nacho Chips
1 Jimmy Dean Reduced Fat Sausage
Salsa
1 Onion
Shredded Colby Jack Cheese
Shredded Pepper Jack Cheese
Preparation
Cook sausage on stove top. Season to taste. We sometimes use minced garlic or garlic powder.
Preheat oven to 350.
Spread nacho chips into a pyrex glass baking dish.
Chop up onion (doesn't have to be a whole onion) and then sprinkle over chips.
Grate colby jack cheese. (and pepper jack as well if you have it and want some more kick to your nachos)
Pour cooked sausage and cheese over chips.
Place in preheated oven for 5-7 mins or until the cheese is melted.
Serve with salsa.
*Sometimes we pour the salsa in on the chips before we add the sausage and cheese.
Cook's Notes
Entree or can be an appetizer. We like fresh cheese so we grate our own but shredded works. And really you can't mess this recipe up. Just play around with it a bit. You could also add peppers for more kick.
