Ingredients

1/2 Head romaine lettuce, washed
1/4 cup Slivered almonds
1/2 Medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 Medium ripe avocado, peeled and sliced
1 Large orange, peeled, broken into quarter sections, and thinly sliced
Dressing:
1/3 cup Vinegar
3 tbsp Olive oil
3 tsp Sugar
1/4 tsp Salt
1 clove Garlic, finely chopped

Preparation

Tear romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Place in large bowl and add remaining ingredients. Combine dressings in a small jar with lid. Cover and shake until well-blended. Toss ingredients and dressing together.

Cook's Notes

You can substitute a peeled cucumber for the green pepper.

Turn this into a main dish by adding cubes of cheese, flaked tuna, or small bits of cooked chicken.
