8 Leaves parblanched cabbage
STUFFING
1 1/2 pound Ground round
1 Egg
1 clove Garlic, minced
1/2 cup Rice
Salt & pepper to taste
SAUCE
1 Large can stewed tomatoes
1 Bay leaf
1 can Tomato sauce
1 Large onion
Vinegar and brown sugar to taste
1/4 cup Wine (optional)
Spoon 2-3 tbsp meat mixture into one leaf at a time. Can hold together with toothpicks. Drop rolls into sauce. Simmer for about an hour. Serve with sour cream
Make sauce first, and use the cabbage liquid in the sauce.
