Ingredients

1 lb. Gound Beef or Turkey
1 stick Pepperoni
1/2 box Thin Spaghetti Noodles
1 Large Jar of Ragu Spaghetti Sauce (2 lb. 6 oz.)
1/2 cup Applesauce
1 tsp. Nature's Seasoning
Ground Red Pepper to taste
2 cloves Minced Garlic
1/2 Chopped Onion

Preparation

Brown meat with chopped onions. Drain.

Add spaghetti sauce, meat, Nature's Seasoning, Red Pepper, Minced Garlic, & Applesauce to a large pot or Crockpot. Leave on medium low heat.

Remove skin on pepperoni. Cut the pepperoni into thick 1/2 inch slices and then cut in half again, making half circles.

Cook the pepperoni on med. heat until slightly brown. Drain & add to sauce.

Heat to serving temp. but the longer it cooks, the better it is. I usually let it cook about 4 hours. Make sure to leave the lid off. If lid is on it gets too watery. This is supposed to be a thick and chunky sauce.

When ready to eat. Boil and cook noodles.

Cook's Notes

For a healthier sauce I use the turkey burger, no pepperoni, subsitute shredded carrots for the applesauce, and use the Chunky Ragu with more than a full serving of veggies in every 1/2 cup of pasta.
