2 cups Whole wheat flour
1/2 c. Wheat bran
1/4 c. Wheat germ
2 Eggs, separated
1 t. Brown sugar
2 t. Baking soda
1 c. Milk or buttermilk
Mix together dry ingredients. Add in milk or buttermilk. Separate eggs, add in yolks. Beat egg whites to soft peaks and fold in. Pour onto heated griddle and cook until brown; turn and repeat. Eat...yum!!!
My son loves to help make this. You can also mix up the dry ingredients ahead of time in large quantities and just add the right amount of liquids at breakfast time.
