Marinated Tofu

Ingredients

1 package Firm tofu

1/2 cup Water

1 tsp. Oregano

1 clove Garlic, mashed

1/4 c. Olive oil

1/4 c. Red wine vinegar

1/4 c. White wine

1/4 c. Soy sauce

2 Whole cloves

1/4 tsp. Salt

Preparation

Toast oregano in small saucepan til fragrant. Add rest of ingredients, except tofu, bring to boil and let simmer a few minutes.


Cut tofu into slices and put in non-corrosive pan. Pour marinade over, cover with plastic and refrigerate 1-4 days. Grill tofu slices, or cut into cubes and use in stir-fry.

Cook's Notes

Although some people may say it's an oxymoron, this is a yummy tofu recipe.
