Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds Flank round for lean brisket
1 tsp Seasoning salt
1 tsp Onion powder
1/2 tsp Garlic powder
1/4 tsp Red pepper
1/2 cup Worchesteshire sauce
1/2 cup Soy sauce
1/4 cup Whiskey with 1/4 cup of water (optional)

Preparation

1) cut meat into quarter inch strips,

2) remove all fat and marinate the strips overnight in above mixture.

3) Next morning dry meat with a rag and hang them with paper clips from rack in your oven .

4) Crack the oven door and set the heat at about 150°

5) Heat strips for about 6-8 hours

6) turn off heat and let them dry another six hours at room temperature and store in a covered but aerated container

7) you can make them from this recipe or you can experiment like I do

8)you can use Ketchup, liquid smoke, different spices... anything you like
