Ingredients
3/4 cup Popcorn (6 cups popped corn)
1 1/2 tbsp Unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups Packed light brown sugar
6 tablespoons Water
Preparation
Pop popcorn. In medium heavy saucepan melt butter and add sugar and water. Stir over low heat until the sugar is dissolved. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then wash down the sides of the pan with a pastry brush dipped in warm water. Place a warmed candy thermometer in the pan and cook, without stirring to 234 degrees, the soft-ball stage. Pour over the popcorn. Stir gently with a wooden spoon until the corn is well coated, then turn it out onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. When the corn is cool enought to handle, lightly butter your fingers and separate the corn in to individual kernels or press into balls.
