Somewhere on the internet, with a few substitutions

Yummy, easy to make casserole. Good vegetarian entree that can serve as a "meat" to anchor two traditional sides.

Ingredients

2 cans Refrigerated crescent rolls
1 bag Boca Burger Crumbles
1/2 An onion, chopped
2 cups Cheese
1/2 cup Chili sauce
1/2 cup Water
2 tablespoons Taco seasoning

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Unroll 1 can of crescent roll dough into a lightly greased 11x13 baking dish, pressing perforations to seal. In a skillet, heat the onion and boca burger until heated through. Add cheese, chili sauce, water, and taco seasoning to the boca burger mixture. Spread boca burger mixture over crust in baking dish. Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough, press perforations to seal. Slice dough into 1/2 inch strips, then lay over the boca burger mixture in a lattice pattern. Cook in 375 degree oven for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Cook's Notes

Next time, I will try making only 1/2 the recipe - too many leftovers for 2 people. Next time I will just use ketchup instead of chili sauce, because I always have it on hand, and I think it will taste just as good.
