Gluten-Free Gourmet Cooks Fast and Healthy

Simple high-energy mix can be carried while hiking, backpacking, skiing, etc. Also serves as excellent snack for parties or around the fire at home. Since chocolate chips will melt in heat, they should be added only when the meix is to be carreid in cool weather, as for skiing, or served at home.

Ingredients

1/4 c. Sunflower seeds

1/4 c. Whole almonds

1/4 c. Coarsely chopped dried apricots

1/4 c. Dried apple bits

Add any of these for more bulk:

Roasted cashews

Raisins or dried cranberries

Chopped dates, figs or dried papaya

Pumpkin seeds

Chocolate chips

Preparation

Mix together and store in a covered plastic container or in airtight single-serving plastic packets in refrigerator. Makes 1 cup or more.
