This quick easy recipe can be on the breakfast or snack table in minutes and keep you satisfied for hours!
2 cups Barley, cooked
1 Apple, diced
Cinnamon, to taste
Divide barley between 4 bowls, top with diced apple and sprinkle with cinnamon.
variations:
Drizzle with honey and add milk.
Re-heat barley in the microwave
Add toasted nuts or dried fruit
The chewy nuttieness of the barley, the freshness of the apple and the bouquet of the cinnamon are very welcome in the morning. The fact that this breakfast is loaded with vitamins, fiber and nutrients is a bonus.
