Ingredients
1 lb. Ground turkey
1 Egg lightly beaten
1 tsp Course Kosher salt
1/2 tsp Ground sage
1/4 tsp Savory
1/8 tsp Nutmeg
1/8 tsp Ginger
1/4 tsp Black pepper
3 Shakes cayenne pepper
2 Shakes dried thyme
1 1/2 tbsp Palm oil
3/4 tsp Honey
Preparation
Place ground pork in a large bowl, add egg and mix well. Combine salt and seasonings. Sprinkle a little of the seasonings over the meat and work in by pushing down with closed fist, dividing meat, stacking it, and then pushing down again. Sprinkle a little more of the seasonings and repeat. Do this until the seasonings are worked throughout. Spread the oil over the meat and work in. Drizzle honey over the meat and work in.
Shape into patties and fry at a lower temp. than normally expected for sausage. Cover in between turnings. Turn frequently and watch closely. Cook approx. 10-15 minutes.
