This dip is great for parties and easy to make.

Ingredients

• 2 16 oz Sourdough bread rounds( about 6” in diameter)

• 4 oz Cream cheese, softened

• ½ cup Milk

• 1 can (14 oz) artichoke hearts drained and chopped

• 1 envelope (1.4oz) or box (1.8 oz) vegetable soup mix

• 1 garlic clove, pressed

• 1 lemon

• 8 oz Sour cream

• Grated fresh parmesan cheese (optional)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Slice off top of bread round to create a lid; set lid aside. Carefully remove center of bread round to form a 4 ½ in. wide and 2 in. deep well for dip. Slide center of 1st and entire 2nd bread round into 1 in. cubes. Place bread bowl on center of cookie sheet. Arrange bread cubes around bowl; spray with Pam/vegetable oil.

In a bowl, whisk cream cheese until smooth. Add milk to cream cheese; whisk until smooth. Chop artichokes. Add artichokes, soup mix, and garlic to the bowl and mix well. Microwave on high 5-7 minutes or until hot (do not boil). Juice lemon to get 2 tbsp lemon juice. Sir juice and sour cream into artichoke mix. Pour in bread bowl. If desired, grate Parmesan cheese over bread bowl and bread cubes. Lean lid against bread bowl. Bake for 7-10 minutes. It’s done when the bread cubes are starting to turn golden-brown. Then remove from oven and enjoy.

Cook's Notes

The bread rounds don't necessarily need to be round. You can also use a loaf.
