Freezer Directions: Place 2 lbs. beef chuck or stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes into a gallon-sized freezer bag. To this bag, add ¼ cup flour, 1½ tsp. salt, and ½ tsp. pepper. Seal and shake to coat. In another gallon-sized bag add: 4 carrots (sliced), 3 potatoes (diced), 2 onions(chopped), 1 stalk celery(sliced), 1 ½ cups beef broth, 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce, 1 clove garlic, 1 bay leaf, and 1 tsp. paprika (optional). Place both bags into a separate gallon-sized bag, seal and label.
Cooking Directions: Thaw. Place contents of meat bag in bottom of crock pot. Add vegetable and beef broth/seasonings bag. Stir to mix well. Cover and cook on Low 10 to 12 hours. (High: 4 to 6 hours). Stir stew thoroughly before serving.
Serve with Crusty White Bread (machine) or French bread.
