1. Preheat the oven to 350.
2. In a food processor, coarsely chop the artichokes. Add the onion and process with three more short bursts. Add the remaining ingredients, except the bread, and process with short bursts just until blended, being careful not to overprocess.
3. Hollow out the center of the bread, reserving the core for bread crumbs for another use. Fill the center of the bread with dip, and bake, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes, or until dip is hot.
