1 1/2 c. White sugar
3/4 c. Buttermilk (I've used milk often, but buttermilk much better)
1/2 c. Butter
2 t Light corn syrup
1 tsp Baking soda
2 tsp Vanilla
Combine ingredients (except vanilla) in larger (it expands as it boils) pot. Bring to boil. Boil for 7 min. Remove from stove and add the vanilla. Great over German pancakes or with apple slices or pretzels.
