Brownie Cookies

Ingredients

1 cup All-purpose flour

1/4 tsp Baking soda

1/4 cup Butter

2/3 cup Granulated sugar

1/3 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 cup Packed brown sugar

1/4 cup Buttermilk or sour milk (to make sour milk: place 3/4 tsp lemon juice or vinegar in a glass measuring cup. Add enough milk to make 1/4 cup total liquid. Stir, let stand for 5 minutes).

1 tsp Vanilla

1 tbsp Sifted powdered sugar

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350

In a small bowl, stir together flour and baking soda, set aside. In a medium saucepan melt butter, remove from heat. Stir in granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and brown sugar. Stir in buttermilk, and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture just until combined. Cover, and chill dough for 1 hour.

Grease cookie sheets. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes or until edges are set. Cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
