Baked Gouda in Pastry

Ingredients

½ (17 oz) pkg Frozen puff pastry sheets
1 cup Finely chopped pecans, divided
2 (7 oz) rounds Gouda cheese, rinds removed

Preparation

Thaw 1 sheet pastry according to directions. Cut thawed pastry in half an roll on lightly floured surface to 9-inch square. Sprinkle ¼ c pecans in center of each pastry square. Place cheese rounds over pecans and sprinkle ¼ cup pecans over each cheese round. Bring corners of each square to center of each cheese folding pastry to fit.

Place pastries on lightly greased baking sheet and bake 400 for 25 min. or until puffed and golden brown. Serve immediately.
