My twist on a blueberry scone recipe

This is a twist on a blueberry scone recipe. With the addition of chocolate chips, this is barely a breakfast scone.

Ingredients

1 cup Whole wheat flour

1 cup Flour

3 tsp Baking powder

1 tsp Cinnamon

1/4 cup Sugar

1/2 cup Crushed Walnuts

1/2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

1/3 cup Butter (at room temperature)

1/2 cup Vanilla yogurt (use a low fat or whole yogurt, the thicker texture is

Important)

1/4 cup Non-fat Milk

1 Egg yolk

1 Ripe Banana

Preparation

Mix dry ingredients; flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, walnuts, chocolate chips

Cut in butter (put it in in small pieces) and mix till dry mixture gets slightly clumpy

Combine yogurt, milk, and egg yolk with blender

Stir into dry mixture with a fork till mixture is moist.

Flour a cutting board and kneed dough into ball

Place in greased pie tin or on greased cookie sheet (flatten the ball into a 3/4 inch patty)

Sprinkle top with sugar

Bake at 425 for 20-25 mins. Remove from oven and let cool.

Enjoy with a glass of milk :-)
