Mix butter, graham wafer crumbs and sugar. Press into pan.
Bake at 375 for 8 minutes. Cool
Beat 1 envelope of dream whip with a little less than 1/2 cup COLD milk. Add 1/2 tsp vanilla. Continue beating 2 minutes while adding 250 g of cream cheese (cut in chunks).
Pour on top of cooled crust. Top with canned cherry pie filling.
Allow to mellow for a few minutes before serving.
