Preheat oven to 350F.
Butter 9x5x3 loaf pan with half the butter.
In a large bowl, beat together the eggs and cream until well mixed. Add the muffin pieces and stir together. Let sit @ 30 mins, stirring occasionally, until the muffins absorb lots of moisture.
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Dot with the rest of the butter and bake intil the pudding is set in the center, approximately 50 mins. Remove and cool on stovetop.
Top with melted chocolate drizzled over top, sliced strawberries or whip cream.
