1 cup Butter, softened
1/2 cup Brown sugar
2 1/4 cups All-purpose flour
Cream sugar and butter and gradually (gradually) stir in flour. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and kneed until smooth about 3 minutes. Pat into 1/3 inch think rectangle 11x8. Cut into 2x1 inch strips. Prick with a fork and bake at 300 for 10 minutes or until bottom edge begins to brown. Let cool 5 minutes and remove to wire rack to cool.
Great with a tall glass of ice cold milk!
