Ice Cream Cake

My husband helps me make this as it is a two-person operation, at least in my house:)

Ingredients

1 Large Foil Lasagna Pan

2 Pkgs Oreo Cookies

1/2 Gal Vanilla Ice Cream

1/2 Gal Chocolate Ice Cream

1/2 Gal Peanut Butter Ice Cream

1 Container Hershey's Chocolate Syrup

1 Container Hot Fudge Sauce

1 Containiner Caramel Sauce

1 stick Butter

Sprinkles

Preparation

Finely crush cookies. Nuke butter so it's liquid and add and mix into crushed cookies. Take 1/3 of the cookies and put into the pan and press to make a crust.

Have your helper take the cardboard off the vanilla ice cream. Slice the ice cream and cover the cookies with a layer of the vanilla. Freeze leftover vanilla. Nuke hot fudge enough to pour the entire jar over the vanilla ice cream. Sprinkle with 1/3 of the cookies. Slice the chocolate ice cream and layer. Pour caramel sauce (don't have to nuke, it's easy to pour) over the chocolate ice cream. Sprinkle last 1/3 cookies over that layer. Slice peanut butter ice cream and cover that layer with Hershey's syrup. You won't use the whole can for this. Top with sprinkles. Cover with aluminum foil and freeze immediately.

Cook's Notes

I use my little 2 cup chopper to crush the cookies. I have to do about 4 batches per pkg. Don't get the double stuffed Oreos because it's too much cream when crushed. Also I only use Oreos when on sale, a less expensive brand works fine. My husband has a container with water in it to dip his knife as it helps slice through the ice cream easier. It really melts fast and you get messy making this. Don't forget, you'll have ice cream left over from each half gallon and we put it all in one container and refreeze. Enjoy!
