| 1 lb. | Ground round |
| 1/2 | Med. onion |
| 1/2 c. | Green pepper |
| 1 stalk | Celery, strings stripped |
| 5 slices | Raw bacon, diced |
| 2 t. | Chili powder |
| 1 t. | Olive oil |
| 1 c. | Navy beans, cooked |
| 2 t. | Molasses |
| 2 t. | Tabasco sauce |
| 1/2 t. | Cloves |
| 1 t. | Cumin |
| 1/2 t. | Cumin, added the last 5 minutes |
| 1 c. | Whole canned tomatoes |
| | Salt and pepper to taste |
Grind ground round, onion, pepper and celery in food processor. Saute bacon, do not drain; add onion green pepper and beef mix with chili powder. Saute until brown. Add olive oil. Add all remaining ingredients except 1/2 t. cumin. Mix well. Simmer 3 hours in slow cooker on low, covered. Cook 1 hour on high, uncovered. Add 1/2 t. cumin. Cook 5 minutes on high, covered.
