Whole wheat flour tortilla

We all love tortillas. But we need to get away from to much salt and all of those refined ingredients we get in food nowadays. I want for my tortilla to taste as good as possible and to also be nutritious without it losing it's taste. I also don't want my body to fight extra hard to re-cleanse itself. So here it goes. 1.Boil (or microwave for ten minutes) medium potato as if making mashed potatos. Don't add to the following ingredients just yet. 2. In a medium bowl put one cup of whole wheat flour. 3. Now add one teaspoon of salt or salt substitute like NuSalt. 4. Then add two teaspoons of baking powder. 5. Now add(#1) mashed potato (make sure potato skin is off) to the flour and ingredients and mix well with hand. Don't burn yourself with the potato. 6. Now add 4 tablespoons of olive oil and again mix well. 7. Get a cup of hot water from kitchen faucet (or microwave or heat. I like mine very hot) and add slowly to flour. the whole time mixing with hand. 8. Make about four or five balls and spread with a roling pin (palote) or a drinking glass if you can't find anything else. 9. Put on a non-stick pan and heat until you see brown spots on the tortilla. For first timers, don't worry about tortillas being to round. This takes practice. Also when turning tortillas, don't burn yourself, use a spatulla or fork to grab tortillas to turn and to get out of pan. To double the amount of tortillas just double the amount of ingredients. Happy eating!! Erasmo
