BLACKBERRY COBBLER 2

Ingredients

6 c. Fresh berries, washed & drained

2 c. Water

1 1/2 c. Sugar

Dash of salt

COBBLER:

1 c. Sugar

1 c. Self-rising flour

1 c. Milk

1 stick Butter

Prepared blackberries

Preparation

Bring first 4 ingredients to boil and simmer for 30 minutes. When fully cooked, berries and juice should equal about 32 ounces.

Make butter in 9 x 13 x 2 inch baking dish.

Mix sugar, flour and milk; pour evenly over melted butter. Add prepared blackberries and cook at 350 degrees until crust rises to top and turns light brown. Sprinkle with teaspoon sugar and dash cinnamon mixed.

Don't make this recipe. The crust never rose to the top after baking for an hour, only the butter (too greasy). I tried to salvage by adding dry Bisquik and stuck it back in the oven.
