Scrub mussels, take off beards. Cook sausage in large saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Cook onion and garlic until softened. Add tomatoes, browned sausage, wine and hot pepper sauce. Bring to boil. Add mussels. Cover and steam 4-6 minutes. Transfer mussels to serving bowl. Stir balsamic vinegar and basil into tomato mixture. Season with salt and pepper as desired. Pour sauce over mussels and sprinkle with green onions and cilantro.
