Whisk together the egg, buttermilk, and melted butter in a mixing bowl. Add
the dry ingredients and stir just until blended - a few small lumps are
okay. Pour about 1/4 cup (60 ml) batter on a lightly greased skillet or
griddle, preferably non-stick, over moderate heat. Press a few banana
slices into the batter and cook until bubbles form on the surface of the
pancakes. Flip and cook until golden brown,1 to 2 minutes. Makes about 12
pancakes
