This was always one of my dad's favorite recipes. It tastes really good. It takes a while to cook...but makes great leftovers for something quick to eat later.

Ingredients

2 lbs. Beef chuck, cut into 1" cubes

1/4 cup Shortening

1 clove Garlic, minced

1 tbsp Brown sugar

2 tsp Paprika

1/2 tsp Dry mustard

1 1/2 cups Water

1 cup Sliced onion

3/4 cup Catsup

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2 tsp Salt

2 tbsp Flour

Dash of red pepper

Preparation

Brown beef in hot shortening, add onions & garlic, cook & stir until onion is tender. Mix catsup & seasoning, add to the skillet. Add 1 1/2 cups water. Cover and simmer for 2 to 2/12 hours. Blend 2 tbsp flour with 1/4 cup cold water, stir into meat mixture stirring contantly. Boil 1 minute.

Serve over hot cooked egg noodles.
