Rice Fritters(Pakoras)

Recycling left overs rice

This an easy one to make...Mostly you'll have all the ingredients available in your kitchen...

Ingredients

1 cup Cooked rice(Left over is better)

1/2 cup Fresh bread crumbs

1 Small Onion(finely chopped)

2 cloves Minced garlic

1 tsp Chopped ginger

2 Green chillies finely chopped

1/4 cup Chopped coriander

6 Mini cubes of mozzarella cheese or paneer(tofu)

Salt pepper to taste

1/4 tsp Garam masala

Oil to fry.

Preparation

In a bowl add green chillies, ginger, garlic, coriander and onion to cold rice. Add salt pepper and garam masala. Mince everything with your hand. Shape balls in to 6 round balls. Stuff with cheese cube in center and using a wet hand re-shape into balls. Roll them into bread crumbs. Fry the rice balls until golden crisp.

Serve with hot sauce.

Cook's Notes

You can use potatoes instead of rice as well. Tastes best with tamarind sauce or mint chutney. for an extra zing sprinkle mango powder on hot fried fritters...
