1/4 lb Butter
4 tbsp Chopped onion
4 tbsp Finely chopped celery
4 cups Dry bread crumbs
1/4 tsp Pepper
Salt to taste
Melt butter in skillet and stir in onion and celery. Cook over low heat until onion is soft. Add to crumbs and toss with salt and pepper.
Savory: Add 1 tsp sage
Herb: Add 1 tsp thyme, 1 tsp basil, 1/2 tsp marjoram
