Grease a jelly roll pan. In 2-qt glass measure put sugar and corn syrup and stir until blended. Microwave uncovered on high 3 min. Stir and microwave another 4min. Stir in butter, peanuts, and vanilla. Microwave uncovered on high 5-6 min. until forms brittle threads in cold water. Beat in baking soda and immediately pour onto prepared pan. Using spatula spread evenly. Let cool and break into pieces.
