Brown ground beef & sausage together and drain. Add Velveeta and stir until melted. Add drained can of mushrooms and spices. Spread on party rye bread. Place in 350F oven for 10 minutes.
If you'd like to make in advance, these can be frozen. Lay slices out on baking sheet and cover loosely with wax paper. When the appetizers are frozen, remove from tray and store in a zip top bag. Reheating might take a little longer.
