K’tseetza

Ingredients

1 lb. Ground chicken

1 lb. Ground turkey

2 Grated squashes (zucchini or yellow or mix one of each)

1 Grated potato (red skin or white rose, washed, but doesn’t have to be peeled)

1 Peeled and grated (yes) onion

2 Eggs

¼ t. Garlic salt

1 t. Oregano

Salt and pepper

1 t. Chicken flavor bouillon granules

Also good to add grated cheese (mozzarella) into the meatball

Preparation

Empty 2-3 large cans of tomato sauce or other spaghetti sauce into a dutch oven or other large pan on stovetop. Add 1 can of water and begin to heat. While this is cooking, prepare the k’tseetza by mixing chicken and turkey together in a large bowl. Add spices and eggs to the mixture. Loosely form small balls of the meat mixture and drop into the tomato sauce. Cook for about 30 minutes or longer to the desired thickness of sauce as the water cooks down. Meatballs will flavor the sauce. Wonderful served over angel hair pasta!

Another variation of this recipe is: coat the meatballs in bread crumbs, flatten them slightly into small patties and fry them in oil until lightly browned. These are served as small meat patties without the tomato sauce, of course.
